High School Reports

August 7 2022

A selection of my feedback in reports from High School:

Year 8

He has taken part in the chess tournament, fantasy football league, and attends the Sanskrit Club (NB: I didn't)

— Tutor

He is far too slow to put pen to paper during lesson time, and his work is not always as detailed as it could be.

— French

He also used some opinions and tried with partial success to use "weil"

— German

Arjun made an elephant with some good efforts, but lacking quality of finish.

— Design & Technology

Arjun is a very quiet and conscientous student

— Geography

"...and occasionally he can be a bit silly in class and a bit careless in his written work"

— History

"Arjun has performed superbly in Information Technology this year. A superb year! Well done Arjun!"

— ICT

Arjun is an excellent student of Religious Studies who has made good progress throughout the year.

— Religious Education

He is usually well organised and generally remembers his manners in the classroom.

— ???

Year 9

"However in the Autumn term he received several silly detentions for poor behaviour"

— Tutor

A slightly disappointing examination mark, which I do not believe fully represents his ability.

— Maths

He sometimes loses concentration in class, and can be chatty, distracting others.

— Science

In class, his work is often distracted by chatter...

— ???

However this enthusiasm didn't last and he produced disappointing homeworks from then on.

— Food Tech

Arjun is an enthusiastic pupil but unfortunately his energy is rarely directed towards the task in hand.

— Drama

...he is quite content to coast along rather than trying to achieve the best he can

— History

In the recent examination Arjun came top in the year, a commendable achievement

— ICT

Arjun is a happy member of his group who is always smiling!

— Music

2: Work on your BASKETBALL SKILLS

— Physical Education

Year 10

Try and be more confident Arjun, perhaps becoming a prefect would help your confidence.

— Tutor

Arjun works very well albeit very quietly in class.

— English

He can be quite giddy and occasionally needs to be told to get books out etc

— Maths

He participates very well in oral work

— German

He is capable of gaining at least 20%

— Geography

Arjun is a cheerful and conscientous young man.

— History

As he is always keen to learn new skills, these can be further developed by practicing spreadsheets.

— ICT

I am particularly impressed with his recent cross-country times!

— Physical Education

I wish Arjun all the best in any subsequent this leads onto making use of knowledge and skills learnt!

— Religious Education

Year 11

He is quite quiet, but has enjoyed the responsibility of being the I.T prefect

— Tutor

1: To try and participate more orally

— English

His behaviour has greatly improved since parents evening which is a positive step forward.

— Maths

Arjun's overall attainment grade is a little disappointing

— Physics

However, he still has to improve in his speaking skills, by widening his stock vocabularly

— German

He also needs to pay more attention in calss - he is apt to chat and ignore what is being taught.

— Geography

Arjun has worked well over the last eighteen months and deserves this success.

— History

He is also very helpful to his peers and a pleasure to teach

— ICT

Continue to participate in some form of physical activity after school and/or when you leave high school
